Year 5 Evacuation Day

December 3, 2008

In year 5, the pupils have done a evacuation day.  We interviewed 3 people from each class in Year 5 that were, Gus, Sam and Toby from year 5.  We interviewed them to see what a typical Evacuee Day life was like.
Gus told us about 5R.”To start with we went into the hall and we meet Mrs.Liddington who was in role as a world war two teacher. Then we praticed the air-raid siren during this we had to rush under the tables in our classroom!”
Sam then told us some Information about the rest of the day.”We made some wooden tool boxes and then presenting them in the hall. Then we did an activity were we had to sew two materials together to make one big blacket! Toby then told us”My highlight was making the cookies, but they wern’t any ordinary cookies they were Carrot cookies that we enjoyed eating!”
All year fives enjoyed their day very much and would like to thank everyone who helped make the day so special, including year five perants that helped make all the children’s amazing costumes!
