Create your own Doctor Who trailer!

June 28, 2008

Here is a great site from the BBC where you can have a go at video editing to create your own Doctor Who trailer.  Have a go and let us know how you got on.  You can share your trailer with everyone by pressing on save and copying the link and including it in your comment on this post below.

Year 4 Water Cycle Podcasts

June 20, 2008

Well done to Year 4 who have recorded these excellent podcasts!  I have published them as three class podcasts so you can find the one you want easily.

The Water Cycle by 4B               The Water Cycle by 4D

Enjoy listening and let us know what you think.  The children came up wih the ideas and wrote the scripts themselves.  (We are still learning and improving in making podcasts and recording using the computer and appreciate that the sound quality is variable.)

Lemonade Stand

June 18, 2008

Here’s a nice activity on the Internet for all you young entrepreneurs (business people)! Your aim is to sell lemonade and make as much profit as possible. You need to choose how much to make and what to charge – but watch out for changes in the weather and don’t make too much lemonade.
Let us know which level (easy, medium and hard) you tried and how well you did… good luck!

Create your medieval character!

June 10, 2008

I found the following link on the webpage of an American visitor to our blog (see the post ‘Who are you?’).  It is a great way to find some ideas for your name and costume for our Medieval Summer Fayre (as well as finding out a bit more about the early Middle Ages)!  You get to find a name for your character and dress them in medieval clothes.  Click here to visit the site.

Here is Mr Williams’ medieval character!

And here is Mr Sambrook as a medieval knight!
