Forget the Ashes… the St Mark’s boys cricket team have won their latest tournament on Friday 10th July at the South Wilts Cricket Club. Well done! They were also excited to see England fast bowler Simon Jones at the event (pictured). Thank you to Jordan for blogging the news so quickly! More details to follow…

St.Marks A team went to South Wilts cricket field on Friday 10th July to play in a cricket tournament. In our first match we got lucky and won by 2 runs, then had a brief batting and bowling with Simon Jones (England fast bowler Ashes 2005 winner). Mr.Haris told us to win the next by 50 runs so we played against Wilton Bradford and won by 53 runs. We went down the field for our final aganist Nomansland. We had a break and Question and Answers with Simon Jones and then the arrangers of the tournament announced the Places and we came 1st by 24 runs and then we went up for the medals and the Trophy. We got to have a picture with Simon Jones and got his Signature. Me and Alec think that everyone did very well and improved with there batting and bowling espically Tori who started under arm and then did over arm and got wickets! Well Done St.Marks Cricket A team.
