I’m very impressed by how much money we raised and by how positive everyone at St Mark’s is about helping other people around the world.

I helped out at the indian stall at the coffee afternoon. I had to leave early, but, when I left, we had a £20 note, a £10 note and lots of coins! Also, because I left early, I estimate just in our stall, we raised over £55! There were lots of stalls, and the cakes were delicious! Because of that, I’m pretty sure we topped last year’s amount of money raised. I hope we did! Thank you to everyone who came. It was very hard to get space in the hall; there was so many people. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got that warm, fuzzy feeling inside me that Mr. Sambrook’s been going on about fo weeks. I hope you’ve got the satisfaction of helping poorer people, I know I do. Thank you again to anyone who came to the fairtrade coffee afternoon.

This week I learnt that its always better to buy fair trade food because the money goes to those people who are working ever so hard. Those people in places like Garna, Africa and India are then getting a bit more money to have a happier life.

Fairtrade Fortnight was very exciting,I had so much fun! Also the Fairtrade coffie afternoon was a great sucsess plus i have perswaded my mum to buy fairtrade bananas and chocolate!Know i feel much stronger about Fairtrade

Beacause i have never known much about fairtrade, i have learnt a lot this week. On Friday, Miss Bennet came in with an activity sheet for us, with wordsearches, mazes, and a mini questionare.I think that we could encourage children to buy fairtrade, by telling them all the things that they would miss out on , such as games consoles and television.
